The new FECD Analysis integrates multiple validated tomographic biomarkers to provide a comprehensive assessment of corneal edema associated with Fuchs’ endothelial corneal dystrophy. A multivariable regression model calculates corneal edema thickness and classifies its severity from Score 0–3.
The dedicated display makes this structured tomographic assessment readily accessible for preoperative cataract planning, supporting clinicians in evaluating whether cataract surgery alone may be appropriate or whether endothelial keratoplasty (EK) should be considered.
